Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the beginning of the Zelda timeline and it came out over ten years ago... Zelda?!

OMGIGGLEZ !! ZELDA!!!

I thought it could have been PilotWings but that game does not have a 'legacy' so... Who knows.. Probably something obscure and we most likely already know the game is being made.. So no big deal I don't think.. My bet is Punch-Out!!

Its something that no one knows about, that def. includes Kid Icarus but excludes Pikin, it could be anything. Not PO and not SNP2

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

Thats my bet. It was 1998 Would make it just over 10 years ago.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Star_Fox_64 Did that ever have a sequel? Because ya know, thats 12 years ago.

I'd love for either of these to be it, but F-Zero X had a sequel in 2002 and Star Fox has had several.

its irrelivent if there were sequels recently or not. All it says is it began over 10 years ago, thats it.

The only real Nintendo franchise that was released little over 10 years ago and is a legacy would be Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

And Nintendo better announce me a new Zelda ...

Fingers crossed! E309, ZeldaWii

Thats coming to the VC

Legacy implies adventure, epic, story (etc) to me. Its no sports or boxing game - something with a story.

Pokemon, Zelda, Kid Icarus... and it could have started 20 years ago, I don't buy that it couldn't have.

The Wii has been out for 3 Xmas's, and its only had one Pokemon title (Ninty's biggest franchise - and huge in Japan) - a shitty, non-adventure based one for launch.

I would say its definitely time for them to bring out the big guns...

F-Zero... maybe. Star Fox - probably not. Each game was sort of complete on its own.

The colours make me think Pokemon as well - or even Samus/Metroid...
