It's so unfair how we're only getting it on the 20th.

The animation is amazing. It's so pretty that it makes it fun to do the same thing over and over and over and over.

I just beat the first 6 levels and died at the boss of the 7th. I turned on the multiplayer to see what it's like, and you can totally rock the minigames on co-op. You should be able to get really far in the Hanabi one that way. And in the multiplayer mode, you can select any of the minigames, just to watch the intros with the Black Baron.

That Mad Max level was the coolest shit ever. I sawed one guy in mid-air while I landed on another car and exploded it, and the game had some crazy slowdown right then. It felt like the game had too much awesome going on at once and it was hilarious.

I highly recommend this game if you liked No More Heroes, Manhunt, Smash TV, or Mad Max. It's totally a cross between them all. I still can't believe that one level is called "Asian Town."

EDIT: Oh, and in multiplayer, I tried to attack the other player, and it worked, so if you want, there's some 1 on 1 chainsaw dueling to be had in the mulltiplayer mode as well.

Didn't you buy this game for your wife? She let you play first?

Yeah.

She watched me play the first 3 levels and kept telling me where to kill people until she finally fell asleep when I got to Asian Town.  She still hasn't played it herself yet.  I'll post again after she plays it and decides whether it's as fun to play as it is to watch.

i noticed something weird... on the title menu, it says I only played for 2 hours, 27 min, but I've timed it and I've been playing for 5 hours, 42 minutes so far. wonder why it does that.

i got it...last night my buddies came over to check it out...we were up till 5am. Just plain awesome.

I'm still on the fence about this game. Some reviewers mentioned some difficulties with controls and I like controls in my hack/slashers to be tight.
Is anybody having problems with the controls, honestly?

I got this game yesterday when it launched and am loving it so far. The controls take a second to get used to and the camera can be a bit of work at times but the game rocks. I love the presentation and the idea of the game. It's fun to just beat on stuff however you want until you decide to fight the boss.

I only played through the first two levels and I think I died a couple of times on the second level, mostly because I was experimenting with kills. I like the five level kill rankings, although I haven't gotten past hardcore yet. (I wonder what constitutes an ultra kill..?) I think my favorite kill so far is the toilet murder. Mint!

P.S. The Black Baron is the man! I could listen to him run his mouth for hours. I laugh during the intro to every bloodbath challenge. Perfect attitude for that character. The commentary is awesome as well!

The only control issue I seem to have is that I start pumping A to punch guys and miss because I'm not pointing directly at them. Sometimes it seems like things are slightly delayed. I'll go to pick up a tire to harass someone with it and I'll hold A but I'll have to turn back because I slightly moved past the tire. I'm not sure if it's the controls or just me doing to much stuff and not chilling out.

only problem I have is picking up items with the A button, but I think thats more personal and not technical.

edit- beat the game, total play time 7 hours 49 minutes. havent played online yet, and theres new features after you beat the game for the first time. almost 2 hours longer than ign and gamespot said, and as I said, haven't touched the other stuff yet

No serious control issues here.
