RE: UC is much longer and much harder. If you want a long, hard game, give it a go. If you want a short, easy, fun game, go with The House of the Dead: Overkill.

I agree. As a RE fan, UC was a good game. But if you're not an RE fan, HotD looks like it's better gameplay wise (haven't played it myself though).
Both are good games but RE:UC gives more hours of playtime.
