Well, forgive me, but Yuri's fighting style is not one of the pluses of him in my book. It is cool and new with him throwing his sword around and using kicks, but I liked using Judith, Lloyd, or Zelos/Kratos more than I enjoyed Yuri. I dunno, just more pleasing to the eye.

On another note, I hated Karol's style. The part where you had to solo with him must have been my worst part of the game -_-

EDIT: Kratos's backstory alone makes him awesome too man. His personality is great too.

Yeah, I finally have a sig.

People, please.

The Fighter would whoop the ass of everyone else in this discussion.

Let us move on.

Even Jackie Chan? I think not.

I'd also have put Symphony of the Night up there, but there's often quite a debate about wither or not its an RPG or not, because it melds the line between an Action/Adventure 'Metrovania' game and features a lot of RPG elements. However, since many games are now being considered straight 'Action RPGs' with near duplicate playstyles (see Odin Sphere) and most of the later games are now being labeled Action RPGs, I'd say that proves the game qualifies as such.

Edit: Saw some other games I forgot looking at some other lists.

Six upcoming games you should look into:

1) Final Fantasy VII
2) Suikoden
3) Suikoden II
4) Golden Sun
5) Legend of the Dragoon
6) Chrono Trigger
7) Final Fantasy IV
8) Shining Force
9) Shining Force II
10) Legend of Legaia

I'm so mad I haven't been able to play Shining Force III >.

If it matters, I'm of the opinion that Metroidvanias and "ARPGs" like Odin Sphere are so linear that considring them RPGs in the vein of the progenitors of this term is disingenuous. Ghastly even.

Hell I had to fight myself really hard before I even allowed myself to call Fire Emblem an RPG.

EDIT: Dude, Diablo is not a JRPG.

My Personal Favorites

(still pissed at dragon warrior VII)
(was disappointed by 12)

I didn't realize how much my teenage years had been robbed by square. I remember most if not all the games on the list with bit of fondness. I can only hope they find what it takes to make games that again

Yes I am a fan of the Playstation 3, but I am an even bigger fan of intelligent and rational dialog. (If you are up for an intelligent exchange of ideas, you are more than welcome to add me as a friend)

PLAYSTATION®3 is the future......NOW.......B_E_L_I_E_V_E
