I believe this is the best zelda game ever. It is clearly the best game Nintendo has ever made. Who agrees with me?

i disagree, to me zelda II adventures of link is the weakest zelda game in the series.
I would say Phantom Hourglass is the best Zelda. Its funny how Zelda II is regarded as the 'black sheep' of the Zelda series. I've played it and although it lacks the usual polish it is surprisingly good given its reputation.

It is clearly the game that made zelda what it is today. First zelda with platforming. The exp system was perfect. You could upgrade your HP/MP/Attack power. Different spells etc etc. The enemies you fought had amazing AI also.
It introduced the up-thrust and down-thrust. No Zelda game is better. If you disagree you are wrong.

Yes that is true. When I got the downthrust the first time I just loved it. And thank you for agreeing. :D

See I think that sentence contradicts your first sentence. Zelda's today don't have amazing AI and they aren't brutally difficult either (minus Water temple in OoT).
I do think it gets an undeserved reputation though, it's not a bad game at all. It's like calling Super Mario 64 a bad game because you were expecting 2D. (not the best example but you get the idea).

They didnt take everything from this game. But the whole platforming thing was first done with zelda 2. The new AI sucks. In Zelda II It was great for the stronger baddies. Very good for the NES era.

I wouldn't say there was any real AI in Zelda II. I'm a huge fan of Zelda II, but I also know my AI. most badguys just ran straight at you doing the same exact thing over and over again. A few were a little smarter, but I wouldn't say the AI was any more advance than any other game for the time. They just made it hard by giving you no large window you could attack in.

The knights with the shields that could go up and down. If you ducked they would block the bottom, if you stood up they would block the top. The blue ones were very hard to kill. Also when you jump they would walk backwards to stop you from passing them. The best way to kill them was use super jump and jump over and before they turn around hit em in the head.
