I didn't get that show at all. I guess I'm just strange, or just too old. I was in High School when it first came on TV. Some of my classmates were geeking out over that show. I thought it wouldn't last a month. Boy, was I wrong then. It looks like I will have the last laugh now, though!!

hmm.. does the source of the article not realize that Power Rangers is a Japanese based show that gets each episode remade for American/EU TV. So pretty much there is way more hurt going around than just whats mentioned.

It used to be.  I'm pretty sure the US took it over after a while though.

Like how when the original TMNT show got canceled... so Japan picked up the rights and made... this.

That Japanese Ninja Turtles video has to be the single most amazing thing in the entire history of anything! Reminds me of the episode of Southpark -"Fun With Weapons"

I only watched the first (read: actually good) iteration of Power Rangers, but this is sad news :(

First was the best. I was sooo crazy about that show, I don't even remember how old I was. But my grandfather banned it in the house because my brother and I would jump off the couch pretending to be power rangers.

About 15 years late. Man, when I was a kid I couldn't stand watching it-it looked fake to me. I guess mainly because I watched TBS -movies for guys who like movies- and would watch tv edits of bloodsport, delta force etc. between the ages of 6-12. I guess it would have been cool if my parents gave a damn what I was watching (violence was okay, boobies wasn't-go figure). On saturday mornings I greatly preferred cartoons like TMNT!!!
