gamefly had september 1st listed but after refreshing the page it's august 31st.

i had mine pre ordered.. im about to go up to gamestop and cancel it and get warhawk instead..

i wanna wait for 1up. or ign to review it though to give me a general idea of how it is.. i might just sit on it for a couple of more days

Warhawk or Lair what would you all choose??

I'd rather get Warhawk due to not having any online games yet, but might favour Lair if that wasn't the case. Totally up your's which one you want to get.

Leo, I don't think a single webstore giving weird, ambiguous information is cause to suspect the game has been released early, especially since the whole internet isn't raving about it as well.

I mean, even I'm not entirely familiar with back ordered, so it's entirely plausible for a less educated native speaker to make a mistake with the term. =P
