Good score but maybe not great for the game since it will be competing with the more popular RE5 which also got a 9.0. A 9.2-9.5 for this game would have pushed it further into attracting more people that don't have a Wii but enjoy mature themed games imo. I predict 1 to 2 million sales for the game but maybe not the 5 million that a higher score probably would have attracted and forced Nintendo's hand into releasing more mature games on the console.

I doubt anybody has expected 5 million in sales. 2 million will be supreme.

Also, I don't see it competing with RE5 at all, since both are exclusives to their own respective system. Maybe for the few people who own both systems, but they're both pretty radically different games.

The game looks amazing, fun, and all around awesome but I'm not going to pay full price for a 5-6 hour game with no real replay value (it has local multiplayer but I'm probably never going to touch that).

I might get it when it hits the bargain bin or possibly rent it, but I'm not paying $50 for that.

With most games of this length I usually end up playing them over and over. Does it look fun enough to play more than once?

I rarely play through games more than once.  If someone expects me to pay $50-60 dollars, I need more than 5-6 hours and local multiplayer.  :-/

Modern action games must really not be your cup of tea altogether, eh?

No, I just ask for about 8-12 hours of gameplay.  Two hours less, and I just feel gyped if there's nothing else to do with the game (replaying it on a harder difficulty is not replay value) and two hours more, it starts running the risk of me not finishing it.

I think they'll be competing at least somewhat to attract new owners to the systems because they're both mature themed games. I expect RE5 to attract more new owners to 360 or PS3 than Madworld does to the Wii.  Hey, if you own a Wii and 360, then you can get both while PS3 only gamers are going to have to wait a few months to have another action game as good in INfamous.

I have hardly seen anyone predict over 1 million for this game, and you think that it would have approached 5 million with a higher review score?  Not for a brand new IP it won't.  Besides, marketing has a lot more to do with sales than the review scores do.

I don't think anything would "force Nintendo's hand" either.  They publish a few mature games (Eternal Darkness for example), but they usually leave that to other developers and publishers.  There is nothing wrong with that.

So you think that a hugely successful established IP is going to attract more people than a new IP?  You're really going out on a limb there.

I hate how there's a good game and people ALWAYS find a reason not to buy it. Multiple ways to kill, Normal and Hard Mode.. how does this not have replay value..

i hate how people shove it down people throats to buy a certain game. I'm with Twestern, $50 dollars is too high for a 5 hour game, with no online. If you would somehow send me $20 dollars, then i would buy it for $30.

@ Khuutra. I like Hack/and Slash games, i replay them in hard difficulties, but then again i buy them for the cheap, im a smart consumer. I got NG2 for $10, DMC 4 for 30$. I might as well add that they are longer than 8 hours. I will buy Madworld, but $50 for this type of game is just nuts.

This game was getting a lot of hype in a lot of different places, so I don't think expecting much higher sales for it than previous Wii mature themed games which really haven't sold that well on the Wii in comparison to how they have done on PS3 360, was just wishful thinking, and on a system where things like Wii Fit have sold so many copies, I don't think it's wrong to hope for a breakout mature-themed game.
