Forums - Nintendo - Spore Hero - first details

general manager for EA’s “Spore” and “Sims” studio, Lucy Bradshaw

- built from the ground up
- resembles Spore’s creature stage
- retains creature creator interface from PC version, complete with procedural animation system
- add in new parts to your creature, and you’ll add new motion controls as well
- dancing, singing and more via Wiimote
- story: “Your planet that you’ve lived on has had a catastrophic event and you’re essentially plummeting to a new planet on the tail of a meteor. You arrive there and you start encountering new creatures. This is a new planet that you’ve got to make as your own. So you start in a series of quests and adventures in a kind of open world that you can take at your own pace. You start encountering other creatures and can interact with them in either combat or social [ways], but you can also do things on their behalf.”
- perform quests to evolve your creature
- ‘Evolutionary Quests’ require you to evolve your creature in a specific way
- use new gained abilities (jump) to access new areas
- exploration through the gaining of new evolved abilities is key
- MotionPlus being looked into
- graphics are ‘playful’
- due out this Fall

im kind of interested in this game!

I would advice against expecting a lot from this game, if it's anything like the PC version, you'll be severely disappointed. The PC wasn't a bad game by any means, but it's much more shallow than what's to be expected of a Will Wright game

So, basically, they're supposedly giving us what people actually wanted the entire time?

May be worth the buy.

Is this a port of PC version, or better, or worse?

None of the above.  All of the announced versions (PC, DS, Wii...) are different and designed to work with the strengths of the various systems, blah, blah, blah...
