About Silent Hill Homecoming, PS3 better yes because...

"...the Sony console is running the more playable experience, but some might argue that the cost of that performance increase is too high a price considering how much has been pared down."

This to favor the PS3 version takes the cake. And I'm secure enough as a gamer to where trophies/acheivement does not define me in anyway as a gamer. I won't let SONY/Microsoft determine that with a trophies/acheivement system. And you can argue all you want about it. Because as a gamer, I respected your opinion of "360 takes the edge ... again" while you failed to respect my legit assessment.

Sorry, but this is not mine opinion. This is what cames when you sum up Eurogamer's Richard Leadbetter opinion for pros and cons for different versions of the games in round 18.

- Skate

"the 360 version clearly has a noticeable, tangible advantage, and that makes it the game that's more satisfying to play. But does it make PS3 Skate 2 a write-off? Not really, but playing it definitely leaves you with the sense that it is a game that is being held back by the inadequacies of the code powering it"

So Richard Leadbetter thinks that 360 version has no disadvantages against PS3 version and PS3 fall in some.

360 version - clear winner.

- Silent Hill: Homecoming

As I post before - both games has pros and cons. I'm not going to return to them again.

No clear winner.

- Need for Speed: Undercover

"Certainly its technical credentials are a league above what is on display in the PS3 version."

So Richard Leadbetter thinks that 360 version has no disadvantages against PS3 version and PS3 fall in some.

360 version - clear winner.

- Sonic Unleashed

"the Xbox 360 version of the game is just as grotesque as the PlayStation 3 code in every other way. They're as bad as each other".

No clear winner.

- Tom Clancy's EndWar

"with Ubi's key releases such as Prince of Persia performing almost identically on both consoles. Happily, EndWar is another game in the same ballpark ... It's a very neat, very accomplished RTS that plays equally well on both systems".

No clear winner.

- Rise of the Argonauts

"Overall then, a Chernobyl-level, world-threatening, nuclear disaster of a game on both platforms"

No clear winner.

I dunno how clear you mean but Unleashed and Argonauts run better on the 360 according to Eurogamer. Not that PS3 owners have much to worry about...

Exclusives are the games that matter when it comes to running better, for it shows what each system is capable of on its own.

In that department, the PS3 easily trounces the 360.

You guys have ONE game that looks better than anything on 360 and now you're trouncing the 360 exclusives? This thread isn't even about exclusives yet you managed to drag this in thinking you'd fly under the radar. If you wanna tell people how great Killzone 2 is do it in a Killzone 2 thread seriously...BTW these comparisons are lame and pointless. Barring a game being absolutely unplayable console owners should just be happy these games released on their system.

You said, and I quote...

"Draw ... OK, but better? I don't think so."

...and...

"I can't see why @Jordahn decuded that Silent Hill is better on the PS3 when the only thing that is better then 360 version is the locked 30 fps rate."

...and even...

"No clear winner..."

...in which ou have opinions, but you also pick and choice the quotes that appeal to you more. Ultimately, I respect your opinion that...

"360 takes the edge ... again"

Or maybe you are disagreeing with Eurogamer with your logic.

And what did I said wrong?

This - "Sorry, but this is not mine opinion" is for this - "I respect your opinion that ... 360 takes the edge"

This - "Draw ... OK, but better? I don't think so." is for this - "Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3"

And yes the last one is mine opinion! As Richard Leadbetter said - one will choose better frame rate, others will "argue that the cost of that performance increase is too high a price considering how much has been pared down". That is why Richard Leadbetter didn't wrote that PS3 is a clear winner or 360 is a clear winner, as he did in Skate 2 or Need for Speed: Undercover.

Please do not vainly attempt to pervert the context of the situation.

I gave my personal assessment in my original post...

"It looks like Skate 2 and Need for Speed are better on the 360, Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3, and the rest are just as equally good/bad."

And it was obvously that you agreed with Eurogamer which is not a problem. Your problem was that you didn't want to respect a different opinion when you responed...

"Silent Hill better on PS3? Really? Did we read the same article?"

These are YOUR words. Which we did read the same article. And you're acting as if we did read the "same article," I'm suppose to automatically agree with you. You obviously agreed with Eurogamer (which is fine), and I had a difference of opinion from personal experience which for YOU was NOT fine but it should have been easily respected. Keep arguing and perverting things all you want becuase your own words betray you when I exposed your lack of a gamer's heart by not respecting a view that doesn't favors your console of choice.

And what is wrong with my words?

"It looks like Skate 2 and Need for Speed are better on the 360, Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3, and the rest are just as equally good/bad."

This does not sound as a personal opinion my friend, but as a comment of the eurogamer's article. No where in this article Richard Leadbetter wrote that Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3. That it why I reply to you and disagree. After all I expect comments about the "Face of" article I post. If it was like "IMO Skate 2 and Need for Speed are better on the 360, Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3" or "I disagree with Richard Leadbetter, Silent Hill and Endwar are better on the PS3", then this is a different story.

360 has more powerful than PS3

PS3 Gpu = Nvidia 7900

360 Gpu = Nvidia 8600

That's too simplistic.  As many designers (across both) plus developers have pointed out, each has advantages/disadvantages over the other. In the end each can produce more or les equally good results.

If there is any single advantage the 360 has its more to do with its SDK and core design, which is easier for most established Western developers with PC experience (such as Epic, EA, etc) to get to grips with.

But both can produce equally attractive games.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Having Silent Hill Homecoming the PS3, i can tell you it has some serious framerate issues that really bothered me playing through - the game feels like it runs at 15-20 fps. I was almost thinking - 'dang I should have gotten the 360 version'. Funny the PS3 one has a better framerate.. Can't imagine how choppy it is on the 360, (unless they updated the code for the EU release?)

The game is still not out here, but there is a PC version too on day one. If frame rates are so bad I can awlays go to PC, but first I will try the demo and only after that I will decide - if and on which platform. I'm not in a hurry for Silent Hill, there is an Empire: Total War copy on my desk after all
