Forums - Nintendo - de Blob wtf?

Seriously, this blasted game is annoying. I bought it because of the good reviews and got many recommendations here.

But, wtf? This game is very annoying. I liked it at first, but after playing it a while the controls get really tired and begins to fail more and more at times when you need it to work most. Geez couldn't they just map it to the A button?? And this whole sticking to the wall thing, although cool, there can be marginal times when you just barely stick to the wall, you perform a jump (thinking you're on the floor) and poof, you jump halfway back across the level in some ink. Quite annoying especially too as you are always fighting against time.

Saving? Disbelief. I can't believe that i have to set aside 1-2 hours if I decide to play this game in story mode. The other day we lost electricity when I reached near the end of Chroma Dam. I played for 2 hours.

To me, there's no point just breezing through the stage, because there will come a point you'll have to play it again to get everything anyway.

Is this the mediocrity us Wii fans have accepted as brilliant? Is this what we have become? Pathetic.

Fuck this game, I'm selling it. It has almost already cost me 1 Wiimote.

its a pretty good game. id rate it a 8.1/10

yes, the controls are balls annoying... but its actually a lot of fun, and its original

I know i might be a bit harsh, but I can't do all that again. and again.

ya, it is really repetitive. they didn't add anything much to make it worth playing the other levels... other than changing the scenery, it really was the same thing one stage after another. :O

The game has some real critical flaws. Honestly, who decided that mapping jump to waggle would be fun. Luckily, some of the other controls are fun. One thing that drove me nuts too was the camera. And especially in later levels, these flaws do cause a lot of irritation.
Having said that, this game is really cheerful, the music is brilliant, and the game in the whole is fun. Definitely recommendable.

But if there is ever a sequel, please, map jump to A, tweak the camera, and add some more variety to the game!!

I had to stop playing only because of the saving system.. controls I got used to after playing couple of levels..

But I just can't understand why they didn't implement a checkpoint/save system.

I do not want to set aside one full hour just play this game.. expecting that from your costumers is ridiculous.

@sparkit34

yea the camera too forgot to mention that.
The music is indeed the best part of the game, very dynamic

@itune2af

my thoughts exactly. The whole concept of the game makes it family friendly, since when families really have hours to play a game??

Yeah it's not as good as many here claim it to be, I was almost tempted to make a thread about inflated Wii scores because it's a "decent" game. Same can be applied to NMH, Umbrella chronicles and a few others games (settling for average).

It's fun though, but it lacks polish.

Sometimes I wonders if the reviewers play the whole game. Even if they do they have to finish it in a few sittings, so the lack of checkpoints doesn't come up as an issue for those guys perhaps.

The thing is sparse saving can help the designers in increasing the difficulty of the game (a la Metroid Prime) ... but in this case it was just pure annoyance.

The only reason I was able to play first 3 levels was the game was fresh with very cool music.
