FFXII should have been higher. Other than that the list is okay.

And I get it RPGFan doesnt cover PC games?

The only reason that KotOR is on there is that they can't legitimately pretend that it wasn't better than most of the rest of the list unless they add a "J" to the start of their name.

@khuutra what were the majority of those editors that gave kotor all those awards doing in the game journalism and review business in 1994 when Dave Halverson was publishing and Nick Rox was writing reviews for Treasure Hunter-G, Bahamut Lagoon, Terranigma, Lunar 2, and Seiken Densetsu 3 in America's Famitsu Diehard Gamefan in 1994? Probably not very much.

this list is about right except for the fact that ffx-2, xenosaga 1, persona 4, odin sphere and ffxii are also all better than kotor. Play Magazine named ffx-2 rpg of the year 2003 with xenosaga 1st runner-up, and kotor was 2nd runner-up. And they put ffxii in their top five in thier list of the top 5 console rpgs of all time. also, they gave ffxii, p4, and os all 10's.

I disagree as far as FFX-2 and FFXII are concerned(didn't play the others).

KotOR is literally one of the best games I've ever played.

FFX-2 felt like a cash-in on the FFX universe. The story was insanely boring and the entire game was basically just a re-tread of previous environments.

FFXII wasn't bad at all.Just the story was dull and uninteresting.

You are still entitled to your opinion of course,I just felt KotOR was superior than those two games.

What does that have to do with anything

hmm, I'm going to do one only including JRPG's

1. Final Fantasy X
2. Kingdom Hearts
3. Persona 3:FES
4. Suikoden III
5. Xenosaga (yeah I'm combining the 3 Episodes into 1)
6. Dark Cloud 2
7. Kingdom Hearts II
8. Final Fantasy XII
9. Tales of Symphonia
10. Star Ocean: TtEoT

HM: Baiten Kaitos (never played sequel), Skies of Arcadia, DQVIII, Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria, Suikoden V and Rogue Galaxy. (I really liked the battle system)

Notable RPG's I have not played: Persona 4, SMT:DDS/DDS2, SMT:Nocturne (although I do own it, it's just still in it's plastic wrapping) Shadow Hearts: Covenant and Tales of Abyss.

It's hard for me to make lists like this because I like alot of them, having played so many, and I'm sure if I made it again in a few days the order of the list would be different. (aside from the Top 3)

Where the f is Tales of Symphonia?!?

Let me see:

-Replacing Kingdom Hearts II with Kingdom Hearts I
-Adding Persona 4, Tales of Symphonia and Dark Cloud 2
-Removing Final Fantasy XII, Digital Devil Saga and Knights of the Old Republic

Now my list is this:

10. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
9. Skies of Arcadia
8. Tales of Symphonia
7. Xenosaga III
6. Persona 4
5. Dark Cloud 2
4. Kingdom Hearts
3. Dragon Quest VIII
2. Persona 3
1. Final Fantasy X

@snyperdud, what were you doing in 1994 when Dave Halverson was publishing and Nick Rox was writing reviews of Treasure Hunter-G, etc in America's Famitsu Diehard Gamefan? In their review of kotor in 2003, they said kotor was the best ever Western attempt at making a jrpg, but kotor's music and art direction really weren't strong enough for it to surpass FFX-2 or Xenosaga 1 which had a much better story, and the game's repetive character models with interchangeable heads proved to be a distraction that took away from the game's overall experience.

wtf worst list ever
