ummm I still think 1998>1988



Yes I am a fan of the Playstation 3, but I am an even bigger fan of intelligent and rational dialog. (If you are up for an intelligent exchange of ideas, you are more than welcome to add me as a friend)

I made an animated .gif of the ending, as well.  I'll link to that at the bottom.  I got carried away and turned this post into an ad for the game.  It's basically a Metroid/Zelda with a hovertank instead of a horse.  7 or 8 years ago I made animated .gifs of every boss and how to find every dungeon.  I keep forgetting to make my big review thread for this game with all of them.

 

Here is your weapon select screen which shows all your power-ups on your badass tank, which is named SOFIA THE 3rd, NORA MA-01.

You drive around and blast stuff, and then exit your tank to get through smaller areas, or to swim or climb ladders, and then enter small dungeon areas, like this one:

Each area has several of these rooms.  Some have health or fuel, and one will have the boss, which guards your next important tank power-up.  Here is a boss:
