Why does it not get Multiplats that PS360 gets?

I admit it does get a few like quantum and waw, but overall most multiplats stay with P360.

You would imagine with a install base equivilant to PS360 combined developers would be falling over themselves to get there games on Wii.

So is it not capable of running these games or do developers not want to develop for it as they know they will get the sales on the other 2.

Or is the market not there on the Wii.

i think the problem is that you have to basically rebuild the game from scratch to make it work on wii (not just graphically, but controls as well.). most companies have their big macho dev teams making big macho 360/ps3 games, and they usually either make some crap second rate dev make the wii version, or they don't bother at all.

i guess they just don't want to invest in a second good dev team to make a quality wii version of the game, even though they could make a lot of money doing that.

Many publishers are showing they prefer to put spin-offs or ports of older titles on the Wii, while leaving their main titles PS360. I guess they're not ready to fully support the Wii, they're probably afraid of having sequels with worse graphics than their predecessors. Either that or they still believe "hardcore games don't sell on the Wii".

Let's see how the strategy pays off.

I think it's a bit of both. A lot of the multiplat titles, whilst getting respectable numbers for Wii, sell bucketloads more on ps360. Problem is that, while there is a huge userbase on Wii it's very diverse and, yes some hardcore titles won't sell well. However i'm sure if devs tried a bit harder on the Wii they would get better sales numbers and find there is actually a "hardcore" audience on the Wii. I think some devs are still trying to "get" the Wii. It will probably come with time.

In my opinion the N64 was not just the best console of the 5th gen but, to this day the best console ever created!

If the conduit doesn't manage to sell as well as Gears or Killzone, then you'll have your answer. I take that back, you don't have to wait that long.

COD WAW is sold on wii with twice the user base of either system and gets a tiny fraction of the sales. On 360 it's almost at 5 mil, PS3 almost 3 mil. Wii, almost 1 mil, with a vastly larger user base. You can speculate all you want as to why that is, but there is your reason. And with WaW it's not a quality issue. It's as faithful a port as a PS360 to wii conversion can be.
