I still havent played any of the FF games. And i've own every playstation console released.. how weird am I?

 You are setting yourself for quiet a dissapointment. Only two Final Fantasy games have ever cracked 3 millions in Japan and the last one was released 10 years ago on a userbase 4 times higher than PS3 will have by the time XIII launches. Add to this that console core gaming is in a decline in Japan with almost every major core franchise released this gen seeing lower sales compared to PSone-N64-PS2 installments.

   My prediction is 2.1-2.2m LTD. But to make it sell that much SE and Sony will have to do quiet a job with its advertising.

It's on a different platform, it should be able to hit a high number, I wasn't saying it'll hit 3 million but it'll be close. If it does 1.9 million first week then FFXIII should be able to do about 2.8 million LTD, it COULD hit 3 million if everything goes well. Hell even Final Fantasy versus XIII has a shot at 3 million in Japan, I'm actually slightly looking forward to FFvXIII more then FFXIII, it probably won't make 3 million but it's really to early to tell for sure.

We'll just have to wait 2 more weeks to see how the reception is for the Avent Children bundle.
