Forums - Microsoft Discussion - xbox 360 red ring of death repair?

Hi everyone,

I just got the red ring of death on my xbox 360.  I did the towel trick once but the next day i got it again.  I was wondering if anyone who had it got it fixed and works perfectly fine now.

thanks

I got a new one that has a jasper chip... so send it out... also you can track at what point your repair is at on Xbox.com... you can even do the repare request on xbox.com

The towel thing is just a temp fix. Send it in, and get it over with

How do you know that it's a different chip? Mine came back in the exact same box as before so I'm assuming it's the same motherboard model.

Currently playing on PS3: God of War III

Currently playing on Xbox360: Final Fantasy XIII

Currently playing on NDS: Chrono Trigger

my warranty is done will they charge a lot to fix it

There is a three year warranty for RROD.

How do people still not know about this?  Especially ones on a gaming website?

the date on the system should be late last year early this year also it's much quieter.
