Avid Resident Evil gamer (since the mid 90s), here!
Got them all.

These are my favorites. Pay attention everyone.

1. REmake
2. RE0
3. RE2
4. RE: Umbrella Chronicles
5. RE4
6. RE Code Veronica X
7. RE3

Gamer2112.. If you enjoyed REmake you will definitely enjoy RE0!

Around the Network

RE1: finished... it didnt really like since i played RE2 first
RE2: finished... loved it my favourite RE game hands down
RE3: finished... cant remember half of it
RE survivor: finished... i hate it
RE code veronica: finished... i really liked it my 3rd favourite
RE dead aim: finished... i enjoyed it it was good
RE4: finished... loved it a close second to RE2

and with RE5 i have a feeling im going to be disapointed

I never played RE4 and regret it. Only thing I played then was WoW and didn't buy a game for 3 years besides God of War 2 and Zelda: TP.

I have the directors cut for Ps1 but can't really notice a difference. I think it was supposed to be uncensored and more gory like a different version. It was like 19$ at Target when I got it 5 or so years ago, good deal regardless. =p

RE5 will be my first RE since Code Veronica on Ps2.

I'm really liking RE5 so far. It reminds me a lot of RE4, even the hard parts like running out of ammo, trying to figure out how to kill the bosses, and reloading and moving really slow especially when trying to move away from someone trying to cut your head off! Still frightening!

You move so slow that you are constantly using the run button, which is the A button by default. So your right thumb gets sore. You get used to it though. They still want to annoy you with answering the questions like "do you want to pick up the bullets?" all the time. The AI co-op is sometimes useless, but she helps a bit with carrying supplies and reviving you when you are dying. A few times I shot down a jewel and boosted her up to get it, but she just jumped right down without it. WTF?

I have not tried co-op mode with another human yet, which might be kinda fun.

The good parts that are carried over from RE4 are noticable too. I love being able to upgrade weapons. Shortening load times, increasing fire power and bullet capacities are vital in this game. A lot of great weapons so far too. Same herb mixing and first aid spray. I do miss the merchant, but you can buy and sell after saving or dying in the similar way. I'm always concerned that I may sell something I need later though. The graphics and sound have improved a bit, although I haven't even played in HD yet. The controls are pretty similar, which is what most fans wanted. Some characters from previous RE games return and the story is pretty good so far.

I'm only on chapter 4, but I think this game is an 8 out of 10. Ignore any bad reviews and judge for yourself.

OK, I've been stuck on the final level for a week now! The game was great until now it's just annoying!

Four things that keep this game from being as good as older RE games:

1) Can't use an herb without placing it in your inventory first! WTF? What happened to pick it up and choose USE, simple like RE4? Also, no way to combine jewels into jewelry to make them more valuable! Hint: Don't do away with good features from previous games!! Yeah, we all miss the merchant too.

2) Way too much interactive cut scenes! I don't want to push X, wiggle the thumbsticks, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, BBBBBBBBBBBB, XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, both triggers, XXXXXXXXXXXX, while watching cut scenes. This isn't Simon Says! One slight screw-up and start it all over! Too busy concentrating on my next button mashing to follow the story! Fail!

3) The story is weak overall and not scary enough. I still need to finish the last level though.

4) Should have more challenging puzzles. The tomb levels had the only puzzle solving that I can remember... and they were too easy. While the later boss battles were difficult. Maybe it's just me but it seems very unbalanced. Seems like they tried to incorporate the hottest games: Tomb Raider, Gears of War, Halo and Resident Evil 4 but ended up short of all of those. I'm surprised there wasn't a Guitar Hero level!

I finally played some co-op online with a friend. Not too bad.

Did anyone download the DLC on Xbox live yet? If so, how is it?

You are not a hardcore resident evil fan until you played Resident Evil 1 on the sega saturn. :)

It has 2 tyrant battles on the end and different dialoge with wesker. Golden...

Resident Evil 5 is great, don't mind all the haters.
