I'm really liking RE5 so far. It reminds me a lot of RE4, even the hard parts like running out of ammo, trying to figure out how to kill the bosses, and reloading and moving really slow especially when trying to move away from someone trying to cut your head off! Still frightening!

You move so slow that you are constantly using the run button, which is the A button by default. So your right thumb gets sore. You get used to it though. They still want to annoy you with answering the questions like "do you want to pick up the bullets?" all the time. The AI co-op is sometimes useless, but she helps a bit with carrying supplies and reviving you when you are dying. A few times I shot down a jewel and boosted her up to get it, but she just jumped right down without it. WTF?

I have not tried co-op mode with another human yet, which might be kinda fun.

The good parts that are carried over from RE4 are noticable too. I love being able to upgrade weapons. Shortening load times, increasing fire power and bullet capacities are vital in this game. A lot of great weapons so far too. Same herb mixing and first aid spray. I do miss the merchant, but you can buy and sell after saving or dying in the similar way. I'm always concerned that I may sell something I need later though. The graphics and sound have improved a bit, although I haven't even played in HD yet. The controls are pretty similar, which is what most fans wanted. Some characters from previous RE games return and the story is pretty good so far.

I'm only on chapter 4, but I think this game is an 8 out of 10. Ignore any bad reviews and judge for yourself.
