Most of sonys exclusive games are 2nd party, they don't have a strong enough 1st party game library to survive............ afterall, they aint Nintendo, EA, Capcom, Konami, Sega ect...... They simply don't have enough franchises.

Will not happen and I have to say thank goodness for that. The PS3 was the one cluck up Sony have made with the Playstation brand and even then the console should end up selling over 40 million. For the black sheep of the Playstation brand that is not bad at all.

I highly doubt Sony will make the same mistake with the PS4, at most I expect the same tech used with the PS3 but on steroids. That way the console will be much cheaper then what the PS3 was at launch and it will still be extremely powerful.

Publishing and developing are two totally different beasts.......

Besides...... most of the games that sony published are long forgotten franchises now that would have hardly any impact this gen.

Sony owns 95% of second party's IP.again when you don' know it's ok to ask.

I could say the same for Sega, and many other publishers and Devs. The thing is that my list sows that Sony are capable of producing new popular franchises. If they have produced so many in the past they could do it now...
