Forums - Gaming - 5 game consoles that failed.

I never said the Jaguar wasn't crap. But that wasn't what I was talking about. Wasn't even close to it. I wasn't attacking the Dreamcast in the least. I own a Dreamcast and love it. But the Dreamcast was most definitely a failure. But it was a failure mainly thanks to what the Saturn did to the Sega name, and because it was too little, too late. It was a magnificent system, but Sega couldn't afford to keep it going - thanks to the serious mistakes they made with the Saturn (and late in the Genesis' life).

And even so, many people would disagree with you on that. There's a good reason why the Jaguar has a major cult fan-following. Not to mention it's the Jaguar chipset that you'll find in nearly every single arcade in the world, what with the popularity of Area 51.

I still play my saturn to this day, panzer dragoon zwei and x men cota are two of my fave games although my batteries gone so i can't save anything

nintendo and sega fan since i was old enough to hold a game controller.

note: my games collection on my profile is only 20ish% complete, i've got a boatload of 360,saturn and dreamcast games to add and a few ps3 games, thanks :)

I guess saturn pissed everyone off..but SATURN did roaring business in japan.. and sega always had a decent repute there.. yet the DC bombed there.. barely selling 2mil+ units, whereas the US market seemed to embrace the DC much more wholeheartedly.. sadly that wasnt enough to keep the engine chugging..everyone was really excited bout the PS2's insane graphics and DVD player.. and kept putting off their purchasing.. the PLAYSTATION brand become bigger than the sega brand in less than one generation

Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd.
