I am officially done with Gears of War 2 and any future product releases from Epic Games. I played the game for roughly 8-9 hours today winning about 80% of my matches, yet I still de-ranked to level 2 because about 25 or so matches the host quit causing me to lose points through no fault of my own. This problem is well known and has yet to be fixed. I am done playing the game and have even filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against Epic Games. This is also only 1 of 100s of problems with the game that has been reported by just about everyone that plays the game and Epic just refuses to fix any of them.

@bolded: You're kidding right? Please tell me you're kidding and you didn't really file a complaint because of a design choice in Gears 2's multiplayer. Hey, I don't like the Haloesque online setup of Gears 2 so maybe I should file a complaint so they'll change it to what I want.

So you're never going to play the awesome co-op campaign again because of a glitched deathmatch mode?

The game is not unplayable. The game consistently crashing would make it unplayable. 5 Fframes per second would make it unplayable. Little bugs and glitches like those found in Gears 2 does not render it unplayable. I gave up on the online long before you did, because I too don't like many things about it, but even I know it's very playable.

Public multiplayer games are not much fun for me!

Yeah the multiplayer is crap, and it does have a lot of glitches. But it is a nice single player game.

I gave up on the mp months ago. Switched to codwaw and never looked back. If epic wants to get me playing multiplayer they'll need to invest some time into making the unreal engine more online friendly.
