Forums - Nintendo - Capcom: Wii's Resident Evil fans will be 'very happy very soon'

The Perfect Dark bots were not intelligent, they consisted of making a direct beeline to where you spawn then in 0.5s of being in line of site of you they would headshot with whatever weapon they had.

The Omicron bots for Quake that I was talking about had:

- Fuzzy logic for decisions

- Waypoint system

- Dynamic waypoint learning (i.e. learning levels it never played before)

All of this in a fully 3D world with fast paced play, and as I said running in QuakeC (an interpreted language, not compiled to native CPU code). And then some developers have the nerve to say the Wii can't handle advanced AI.

Knowing how RE5 seems more a sequel of Code Veronica than RE4 I am sure that Capcom can take the assets from RE4 and make a sequel from it, a game that tells what happens with Leon after that.

Even with a more polished Umbrella Chronicles sequel i'd be sooo excited. The game would be amazing if it didn't have those framerate drops.

I'm betting on something original that runs in the vein of both Code Veronica and Umbrella Chronicles, detailing more backstory. Umbrella Chronicles 2? Maybe, but i think an original spinoff is most likely

I'm not feeling a simple port with this one, though you can never bet against it with Capcom

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

It bothers me to think what will happen if it is indeed UC2. Most Wii owners were asking for a RE4 styled game, an original game with an original story, even if it was a spin-off, but made from the ground up for the Wii. I wouldnt buy RE:UC2, I like survival horror games when it comes to RE, not a lightgun game.

I'll be very disappointed and probably forget about Capcom once and for all.

Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.

I think the only RE related announcement that could make me very very happy would be a Resident Evil 2 remake. Anything else I'm not too interested. Maybe a title built from the ground up for Wii (i.e CV), but no spin offs please.

@KylieDog: That would be a terrible thing.

Yeah, and this announcement came out of nowhere. It could be that port you are speaking of. Let's pray not, for the sake of Capcom.

If this is RE:UC 2 i will not be happy , i really want a good Resident evil game build from scratch from the Wii, hell even RE 2 remake will do! Just not another cheap effort capcom
