Ok so with the coming updates being added to the game, I decided to give UT3 another spin. I'll admit it's not exacly a crazy-good game, but with some mods it could be much more awesome. The last UT game I played was UT04 but, the only thing that really kept me playing were the tons of mods I downloaded for it (and I used to do a little modding myself).
Anyways, I browsed pretty much the entire mod section on the Epic forums and found a few mods that I'm definitely getting:
First thing I noticed when I started playin UT3 again today was that this game is the ultimate "floaty gun" experience - you never see your own hands and all the guns themselves are small. It looks and feels really weak. This mod basically turns the game into a bootleg Gears of War.....I think it looks tons better:

This is pure effin genius. Check out the vid. I'm really curious how this mod will go with the splitscreen update. Assuming it ends up working, this could end up being really fun with another person. Now imagine if you could have 4 players all on the same screen playin like this....it'd be SSB meets UT. If you end up liking this mod, there's still some new maps being made for it:

You need a flash drive (or somethin like it) to use UT3 mods for PS3. I just ordered one off Newegg.com.
Besides those, I have tons of maps and mini-mods that I plan on downloading. Unfortunately, most of the mods/mutators that make big changes to the game arn't supported by PS3, but there's still tons of maps that do work.
