Forums - Gaming - Questions of a 6 Year Old

I was asked these questions by my son this morning on the way to school.

Is Super Smash Brothers [Brawl] a Nintendo game?  (I answered Yes).

Why is Sonic in Super Smash Brothers [Brawl]? (I answered because they added some third-party characters).

Does that mean that Sonic is not the mascot for Sega any more? (I answered that he still was).

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

We only wish Nintendo owned the Sonic franchise....

Smart kid.

smart kid but u forgot ur Mike from Morgentown sir :P

and nintendo made an arrangement with sega, they get mario in olympic games and for them sonic in smash brothers,. in the 90s such a trade would have been unthinkable :)

Improvements are caused by people who complain

Fascinating. Are we going to get the play-by-play of the homeward trip too?

My knowledge of games when I was six was merely: stomping on goomba's make them disappear

Lots of devs have mascottes, or at least produced mascots that sort of fit the bill ... A selection:

This week, my son has played:

Wii -- Animal Crossing; Super Mario Galaxy;  Wii Sports; SSBB; World of Goo

GC -- Sponge Bob: Lights, Camera, Pants; Animal Crossing, Super Mario Sunshine, Donkey Kong Jungle Beat; SSB Melee

N64 -- Glover; DK 64; Super Mario 64; Doctor Mario; Super Smash Bros

GB/GBA -- Kirby; Mario Tennis

(His DS needs charging)

There are probably some I have forgotten about.
