@happysquirrel, I was making $8.00 an hour at my old job, and having to drive 60 miles 5 days a week to work with gas prices as they were under Bush was really putting me in a tight spot.
Heavens to Murgatoids.
it was the first bailout plan that rosevelt(i think) agreed to after the ww2 to rebuild europe after all the fighting
i didnt here anybody complain at all about that
Some people that fought in the war did in later years. They believed it strengthed the USSR.

High energy prices put a lot of people in a tight spot, but there isn't anything that the federal government in general (or the president in particular) could do to lower energy prices in the short term ... Even then there were a lot of people who were highly critical about George Bush's energy policy and were wondering why there wasn't more nuclear powerplants, coal to liquid fuel facilities, and domestic oil/natural gas exploration & drilling; on top of that people were (and still are) highly critical of the corn-ethanol subsidy that was introduced durring his term, because it would have a negative impact on the price of food and not produce enough fuel to make a difference.
@dsister44, I was talking about Americans. One of childhood friend's dads fought in Korea. I remember my friend complaining about the Marshall Plan and about Macarthur being ordered out of Korea and saying things like I won't buy a videogame console unless it's American made. Big Rush fan.

Some want to attempt to use a brush that strokes Obama as the cause for the joblessness now and the economic problems we face now. Which is sad, pathetic and untrue. Obama inherited a shit house and is trying to do what he (and his administration can) to stop the bleeding. Make no mistake, although it is easy to see the humungous fuck up Bush and his administration AND the republican controlled congress (while the democrats were a bunch or pussies, alot of em still are) are responsible for in the short term, it goes back 30 yrs, really to see the seeds being planted for our current state.
Limbaugh is a radio personality who speaks to a demographic that is rather niche. Conservative republicans understand that their jobs are on the line and the broader view and direction the country is blowing now is not in the direction Rush and his audience wants it to go. It pretty much landed America in the ditch it is in. Also Democrats WANT to paint Rush Limbaugh as the voice of the republican party, republicans don't but they also want his following, what you see is a game of chess going on.
I'll tell you brother, I feel you actually, because words don't match the actions that follow. One of the issues I think has to be addressed now is what I feel no one is discussing as a primary factor involoved in this economic crisis in America; Cost of living has risen at an unbelievably high rate while wages haven't. 8$ an hour is a fucking insult to anyone not in JHS or HS even, and I wonder does that job provide health benefits?
Bet between Slimbeast and Arius Dion about Wii sales 2009:
If the Wii sells less than 20 million in 2009 (as defined by VGC sales between week ending 3d Jan 2009 to week ending 4th Jan 2010) Slimebeast wins and get to control Arius Dion's sig for 1 month.
If the Wii sells more than 20 million in 2009 (as defined above) Arius Dion wins and gets to control Slimebeast's sig for 1 month.
I grow tired of this fascination with a modern civil war in the US. It was originally going to be fought between Latino immigrants and white people. It is now going to be fought between the haves and the have-nots. It is an absurd notion, and it would behoove you to cease such preposterous talk.
