GT5 and FF13 no chance!

Ignoring Wii Sports the 2009 best seller list will likely be:

Wii Fit
Wii Play
Mario Kart Wii
Wii Sports Resort (this could beat MKWii, and perhaps Wii Play, but it would have to start with a bang)

then probably The Sims 3 and Starcraft II, though VGC won't get weekly data for these so we won't notice how fast they sell.

THEN will be things like the DS stalwarts NSMB, Nintendogs, Brain Training and Mario Kart.

Call of Duty:WaW for the X360 will probably be next, followed by Guitar Hero (5?) Wii and X360 versions, then Pokemon Diamond/Pearl.
Then CoD:MW2 for X360

----and to be honest, probably a host of other games will also be above FFXIII and GT5.

IF GT5 releases this year at all, it will likely only get 1-2 months of sales, which will be big no doubt... but probably not more than 3 million. (if it releases in all territories)

FFXIII is definately Japan only this year, although even 1 week of sales guarantees it at least 1.5 million, but huge drops thereafter, so maximum 3 million for that too.



I forgot Pokemon Platinum isn't release outside Japan yet... I don't know when it releases but that will probably also beat GT5 and FFXIII..... also Oyv seems to have done this already, and likely with better research as all I did was check what the DS stalwarts sold in 2008.

Umm, not GT5 or FFXIII. Not a chance. Yep, pretty much only Wii Sports Resort because it's got the magic words "Wii" and "Sports" in the title. Hell, put "Wii" in the title of any game and you've got yourself a guaranteed million seller.

There isn't anything that will surprise me anymore as far as the wii and it's software is concerned.

Whatever sales figures even the most ardent wii fans predict for it's 1st party games are blown away.

I don't know how well wii sports resort will do in sales but I am not going to start speculating one way or the other. With the nintendo games you never know.

Anyone that seriously predicted wii fit would be this massive before it was released I will call a liar.

Lol. If wii fit keeps selling the way it is it would probably outsell the xbox360 so this might not be possibe.

Unless everyone who buys it picks up an extra copy.
