5-6 hours? That all? I guess i'm too used to long games such as Oblivion

Main quest only 11 minutes if you use a glitch in the map.

15 hours for 100% completion speedrun.

So if it is 5-6 hours, is that a speed run time, which probably means more like 10-15 hours for a first time player without guide?

You're using a strange standard. They're not talking about a speed-run, otherwise they would use that standard all the time. They really mean a skilled gamer would take 5-6 hours to play, most would take a couple of hours longer most likely.

A game I'm developing with some friends:

www.xnagg.com/zombieasteroids/publish.htm

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Maybe, but 5-6 hours just sounds incredibly short to me. If true, it better launch at $39, or my interest decreased a lot...

Some players can take over 100 hours for Oblivion and a speed run for 100% completion is 15 hours.  Speed run to typical game time can be vast to little difference.

Anyways, it would be nice if someone cited a source for the 5-6 hours to better get an idea of context.

Heavenly Sword is the same kind of game and has been flamed for it's short story. If true, expect the same for Madworld.

(HS is a great game, and I'm pretty sure Madworld will be too)

ya, I thought it was going to be 8 to 10 hours? either way, I'll prolly be doing side missions and junk

I guess if the game is fantastic 8-10 hours is better than a mediocre 20-30 hour game......but is it too much to want a 30 hour fantastic game :)

side mission ftw.

Madworld son, Madworld

IGN said they were 5 hours into it, last week. Unless they beat the game the same day they said that, I think it is slightly longer than 5-6 hours.

I think if they felt they were reaching the climax, they would've mentioned it. There is multiplayer and several unlockable items.

We know the game isn't a cakewalk, so that's a good thing. We'll see when reviews come how truly long it is.

5-6 is definitely short. Here's hoping that the over-the-top action never gets old.

The dedicated can always punish themselves with hard mode for more play value.
