No, we humans consider ourselves the ruler of this planet because we invented the wheel & spear. Also real toilet paper, none of that grass and leaves shit.

But seriously, humans are designed so that eating meat, and hunting, is apart of our basic make-up. It's not wrong, it's the circle of life.

Of course animal cruelty is wrong. But eating animals is not animal cruelty. Hell, look at the plains' indians. Used every part of the buffalo that they hunted. That's not animal cruelty, that's survival. Likewise, you could argue some people hunt so that the balence in nature can be kept. Like when deer season rolls around. I guess human population control are the wars we fight. The difference between humans and animals though, is that with the proper procedures and plans, we can now willingly keep our population under control. We still will have wars instead though.

Theres a difference between killing for survival and killing for a negligible amount of extra enjoyment. The majority of meat consumed by americans is probably completely unnecessary and just goes to the excessive lard hanging off their bodies.

 AND... In the wild you can't walk into a grocery store.

Teach lions,tiger,whayever to eat plants like the other ridiculous maounts of mamals that do in the very same habitat, then I'll consider not eating animals again. We're just the same as they are. You argument is we shouldn't eat meat at all, not we should eat less meat (which i agree on that).

lions and tigers are carnivores, not omnivores. If you force a cat to eat a vegetarian diet it will be plagued with urinary tract infections because its body wasn't designed for anything other than meat. Bad point.

We are omnivores. We are designed to adapt to our environments. The current obesity rate is showing that through unwillingness to adapt to the current environment people are destroying their health. In the wild you eat whatever is edible to survive. Here we have such an excess of food its wise to only eat what has the best quality nutrients. That isn't meat. I consider it gluttonous to eat meat when I'm perfectly happy with the alternatives.

Mind you I don't have a grudge against meat eaters, however I do however get really disgusted when I see a morbidly obese person eating a portion size of meat that is clearly over their daily needs.

So why aren't you annoyed about us killing off plants if we eat too many of those? They are still living, carbon-based, life forms.

Any animals from jellyfish on have nervous systems. And last I checked we don't eat sponges and coral anyways.
