I didn't even consider that it might be fake.  On the one hand, now that I think about it it'd be pretty hard to get a dog into that costume and I don't know the odds it would end up like that on the couch.  On the other hand, I don't think those "cute animal picture" sites usually go for stuffed animals.  And the eyes are closed; I doubt they'd make Fox with closed eyes and I really doubt they'd make one with closing/opening eyes like some of those baby dolls. 

@ Ail:  The beta rumors are a good point, but I don't think Blizzard needs extra hype.  The thing's going to destroy the charts and sell bajillions for years and years; being more frontloaded wouldn't make much difference IMO. 

It's not so much about hype as it is about pleasing the fans. Blizzard has been very keen the last few years to release information first at Blizzcon for the fans. They have a nice working thing right now and I doubt they are going to change that model.

Well, if they had the option of releasing it before BlizzCon or after Blizzcon, which do you think would be most pleasing to the fans?

For the fans AT Blizzcon maybe, but I'd still rather see it in stores sooner than later.

lol June 2nd, if only. My guess is late 2009 if we're very lucky. Remember, Blizzard likes to go the whole open/closed beta route months before a scheduled release. Since as far as I know, there haven't been any announcements about beta's yet, I wouldn't worry about it's release date being anytime soon.

Also Gamestop/EB are notorious for putting supposed release dates into their systems so they can start taking those delicious pre-orders for a given game.

I'm talking about sales, Sharky, not about someone's preference.

Sims 3 and Starcraft 2 releases on the same day would definitely gather lots of 1st day buyers in the shops.
