Microsoft is to include the NXE update in all new game discs.
The first titles to get this mandatory update will be HAWX and MLB: 2K9.
You won’t be able to play them unless you accept the dashboard update that pops up when you insert the disc.

OT: i like the new experience, i find it more user friendly and the avatars are better than i thought they would be
It's not like they're the first this generation to do this--plenty of Wii games automatically install system updates.

microsoft is moving on to the furture!
now people who dont have live can also get it(the only reason i have it is because i switched hardrives and it saved on my xbox,but i didnt get the avatars :()

No, but Microsoft takes up about 2.2 gigs with anti-piracy software, as evidenced by the fact that even multiple-disc games don't take up more than 6.8 gigs on a single DVD.
People were going to have to accept it eventually. If games are going to have built in NXE Party support, etc everyone will have to have it
