Nice to see it's doing great over in the UK.
I'm wondering about the NA sales, I have a great feeling it will be above halo wars.

It'll be interesting to see - a ridiculously hyped FPS vs. a Halo game.

Seems like alot of my friends have a 360 with Halo 3. At the same time, I know alota people that haven't even heard of KZ2 here in the US.

" UK Video Game Chart: Killzone 2 is top

Halo Wars new at No.2, while Street Fighter IV drops to No.3.

Sony has won the battle of the new release juggernauts, with Killzone 2 beating Microsoft's Halo Wars to the top of the All Formats All Prices chart.

Killzone 2 becomes the fourth fastest selling Sony published title ever in the UK and the second fastest selling PS3 game, behind GT5 Prologue. It's also Sony's first All Formats No.1 in almost two years, the last being God of War 2 back in April 2007.

Halo Wars is new at No.2, selling 17.6 per cent of Halo 3's record breaking launch week figure. However, compared to EA's C&C3: Tiberium Wars (the previous fastest-selling console RTS), the Halo RTS is doing pretty well - outselling the genre veteran by almost 3 to 1.

Street Fighter IV slips to No.3 and takes a 49 per cent drop in sales, while Wii Fit slips to No.4 with an 11 per cent drop. Nintendo's Professor Layton is the only non-new entry in the Top 10 to see a sales increase, enough to see the title climb five places to No.5.

SEGA's Mega Drive Ultimate Collection moves up one place to No.6, FIFA 09 is at No.7, CoD: World at War is at No.8, Ben 10 falls to No.9 and Mario Kart Wii is down 22 per cent to No.10. The only other new release to make the All Formats Top 40 is Konami's Silent Hill: Homecoming, which debuts at No.11.

Next week look out for strong debuts from Empire: Total War and Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X, but can either title challenge Killzone 2 and Halo Wars?
