I was planing on geting FEAR 2 in a couple of weeks because I really liked the demo. I have never played the first game though and was wondering if I should get that first. I was just curious of what the general feelings are about both games. Mainly, is the first one better than the second? Thank you.

I'd say rent it, it doesn't really have much longevity but the single player mode is fun. I thought the first one was better.
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.
I'd say yes play the 1st one before the 2nd but the 2nd one leaves out SO many things that were in the 1st. So you can either play the 1st one to understand the story of the little girl or I could just tell you and you can buy the 2nd one

i got to pick this one up myself this week. i guess its always nice to know the hole story in these sequels but they make them so you can jump right in though. but if i had the cash i would get the 1st one, i thought it was one of the best FPS i ever played myself.
