Personally I've got doubts about this info. The 50k userbase mark has been crossed in Poland just in last October. I can't imagine Killzone 2 getting 40% or more attach ratio in only 2 days. Even if it's obviously is just a shipmeant info.
Killzone isn't really that big of a franchise and you can't compare it to GTA, CoD or even MGS.

Even if SCE flood the market with KZ2 PS3 bundes as default consoles 30k still would be to many. PS3 sells something around 30k in Poland in a year.

For comparision GT5P sold around 5k in first two weeks.

the first killzone was very popular there. like as popular as halo in the us. so ww it might not be a big franchise but in poland it is

I don't see too much of them but I was in Spain for 9 days and only returned 3 days ago so i missed most of prerelease campaign

But hype on forums is extreme and all the game media have been full of info on it (including very enthusiastic reviews in our console magazines)

Also it is very visible in all shops and was on top of many preorder lists.

Wow, Poland really is a small market :P

For comparision: The Witcher sold 35k in first 3 days but it had way bigger market campaing (including free showing in major TV news programs just becouse it's Polish game) and Polish PC market is much more devoloped than PC one.

@snir: That's what this article says. I think that there were around 40k Xbox 360 when H3 launched. When you take in account that price tag at launch is harder much to swallow in Poland than in Western Europe (so more people are willing to wait for a price drop) and piracy is taking its chunk of sales also 4k really doesn't seem that bad. It also suppose to be an opening record for new gen consoles at that time (I think GTAIV holds the record now).

Hey Brakes are very important.  They prevent cars from getting into trouble.  However, hypefests tend not to have them.  They usually go right off the cliff because they don't know when to stop.

Most recent number for PS3 in Poland is 75k (link).

Let's be serious. Killzone didn't get 40% attach rate in 2 days.

they expect 100k for april assuming they mean end of april they expect 25k more in 3 months so they should have closer to 85k now . 35% attach rate. then take into consideration the first one was one of the highest selling games and ps3 isnt bootlegable... also halo reached 33% with a much bigger instal base and mathematically its easier to reach a higher percentage on a smaller number it ist that hard to believe . (take away japan and its closer to 34% and hackable)
