Well i checked the killzone website and it says that the patch was because people were padding their stats with the bots so they took out the bots in the online for a "quick fix." This fix will probably be that the bots will be put back in multiplayer but not count as XP. They definitely optimized the servers or something within the patch though, the online is noticably better then before it. I feel like my shots are a little more accurate, hitting more often when someone is running and im shooting at them where as before I felt like there was a tad latency, just noticable.

Dude this game is a huge jump from anything I've ever played which includes all the best looking games too date (yes, gears 2) minus crysis (never played it). Its the character models that freak me out man, and the walls are crazy. These are the best graphics I have ever seen hands down. The people on your team look like your in a cg cut scene its NUTS ARE YOU CRAZY!?!?!??!?!?!

The one warehouse area with light shining in through the busted windows is just insane to me, if you look up at the light it will blind you in a way that just looks real.  That's one part where I really got impressed.

Haha I haven't even played the single player yet man. I'm speakin totally on the online. I'm sure I will be amazed when I get into the single player. One of the online levels has dust just blowin and flags blowin in the wind and everything i didn't know games could look like this.

I have played for almost 4 hours, and the only issues I have are;

- Facial animation outside of cutscence are crap compared to the rest of he game
- Sometimes in cover you will see spent shells stuck in mid air
- A.I. buddies can get annoying (walk in front of you)

Other than that I am etreamly impressed with the game. IMO the most standout piece is the controls. This is the only FPS that I have ever played were the controls did not feel like garbage. Resistance, Halo, CoD, Unreal, and other have all felt way to sensitive, and jerky. Killzone 2 is the first game were I have actually felt like I was in control, and the amount of head shots I have ranked up just proves that.

Besides the spot on gameplay (note: I use alternitive 2), the most impressive thing is the way they captured the feel of war, as we have seen in movies for years. bombs going off all around creating think smoke that makes you feel tense. This is the first shoot I have played were I felt like just another soldier in a massive war.

Now of to play more!

I really, really, rally love the six axis support. I love setting the charges and turning the valves. This is my fave FPS game by far.

There's one area in the story mode where you're in the desert and if your AI buddy walks in front of you the dust from him running will really effect your line of sight, and gets irritating, much like dirt in your face would. 

Man, we're getting excited about dust, dirt, and light...what is going on, lol

I play only online, i'll play the story much later. Its incredible

Its very good, but I wouldn't call it outstanding. Its probably because my expectations have been lifted after playing Crysis, Gears 1/2, Uncharted, MGS4 etc.

Im torn on the animations. Sometimes they work really well and others they look really stupid because its so overblown.

Just wait 'til you see the last level :)
