I didn't like the world of Digimon, I didn't like this "parallel world" and that the Digimon where digital Monsters and that the world was so random... So I prefer Pokemon anime and games!

But I liked Greymon a lot xD

Like many others here, I liked the digimon anime better than I did pokemon, but the pokemon games are better.

Digimon as a TV show was pretty exciting and it had heart, the first 2 series were good and then it sought of fell apart after that (it was all about finding new gimmicky ways to make products and use the tv shows as ads)

I think the issue games wise is that Digimon don't have a set format for their games. The main series, Digimon World, changes it's entire game with each installment, in particular with the setting and world the game plays itself out in. There's very little to no link between the games other than the digimon that fill it. So it always feels like the new digimon games are different for the sake of being different (gimmicky).

For me, I thought the first game was alright, though a bit unbalanced (I wanted to battle more rather than spend my timing caring about digimon maintanence). The second game was good, more about the battles which is to my liking and the third game went a little haywire (particularly in the art style).

With the pokemon games, it was designed from the ground up to be the game first and tv show second. With digimon, it was the tv show first and the games second. So you can really tell which ones were the after thought (pokemon = tv show, particularly these days and digimon = games).

Yeah pokemon is the best game for everyone.

Pokemon games > Digimon games

Digimon Anime > Pokemon Anime

As stated above, the pokemon games have always been way better than the digimon ones, but the when it comes to anime, OMG pokemon sucks and in this area is where Digimon excelled, obviously certain seasons weren't as great as others but at least it wasn't consistently crap like pokemon.

I know many will disagree, but that's forum life.

Now the only way I'll ever like the pokemon anime is this:-
1. kill ash and his retarded entourage
2. move the rating to T or M or something high than it is
3. remove all bullshit battles
4. makes battle awesome and vicious where need be
5. if your gonna make the main character a pokemon master, then he's gotta start winning allot of matches, especially gym battles instead of the gym trainer feeling sorry and just surrendering his badge to him, and most importantly, fucking evolve your pokemon and keep them.

Man, if pokemon where real and I for some reason got stuck with the pikachu ash got, I would force evolve that little prick by playing catch with a thunder stone...

I like the naming in Pokemon. It doesn't have the ending mon in every name.

You know,I'm surprised this thread went on this long!Who's played Digimon World Dusk?Dawn on the DS?I hear their as good as the pokemon games on the DS.Also,I liked Digimon rumble arena 2 cuz it was a smash bros rip-off!Those pokemon spin-off games,their not as good as Digimon games,are they?Cuz the only 1 I played was pokemn dash & it sucked!!!
