And not sure if I understand your question, but Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2 will be games that will keep a lot of gamers happy for a long time (no matter whether they are still buying other games).

@papflesje: he's talking about GPU sales, not the games' themselves.

I don't think they will sell many GPUs because all three games will have reasonably low requirements.

If you mean graphics cards- probably not many. Blizzard and Maxis tend to aim at the low-middle part of the market to maximise their potential customer base, so there probably won't be too many people who need to upgrade.

There will always be someone that is bound to upgrade to enjoy all the bells and thistles (high res, aa, etc) but it's hard to gauge. Blizzard doesn't sell GPU's, they sell games - so they aim towards the lower end.

I used to play diablo II and put 100s of hours into it.  I belive Diablo 3 will sell 4 - 7 million over it life time and The Sims 3, well im thinking like 8 million over its life-time.  Dont know about Starcraft as I never played it.

I believe Diablo 3 will sell 36 million on the first day and the Sims 3 will sell 300 in total over all its platforms.

I'm upgrading for Dragonage. I'm running this on a 3ghz 2 core processor and 32 bit Vista, so with these components, I should be good for a little while, at least. Any comments about these products?
