Forums - Gaming - People quitting online matches on Street Fighter IV should be punished.

Personally there should be Win/Lose/Draw/Total/Disconnect.

Starting at 100% a Disconnect is just a Disconect.
As your Win increase over your losses then the % deacreases. If the % dips past the Disconnect=Lose percentage then each of your Disconnects counts as a Loss. Obviously as your Loss increases your % rebalances.

This way the % value can be coordinated with a value that represent people who disconect intentionaly.

You were doing good with that first sentence.  Everything after it was downhill.

@.jayderyu

People do the whole "the more matches you play the less your disconnects matter"

For example: if you saw

wins: 21; loss: 2; disc: 20
vs
wins: 2014; loss: 1087; disc: 20

I didn't have anyone disconnect on me, but that's probably because I played only 15 ranked match and won like 4.

I'm all for the Starcraft system and showing the player's stats before the match starts.

Nope, people who sit there and turtle with Sagat or Ryu or Ken should be sent in front of a fireing squad and taken out on live national television.

Oh yea and Cannon Drill -> cannon Spike spammers should be castrated even if physical requirements say otherwise.

IS that extreme enough?

eat people like that for breakfast. Ryu and Sagat have to be all out offence to be good. Turtling Guile is dangerous. The type of guile that plays with attitude of..."I don't care if this is boring, I don't ming being bored to win this round...so im gonna win on chip damage"...worst fights of my life.

A good Sagat player can be an issue but I like a challenge. Most Sagat, Ryu, and Ken players I run into are predictable. I use Gouken so I eat predictable players for lunch.

Maybe they can an option for ranking in games where quitting affects rank. You offer to play people that. There is a risk of your internet connection going down, but that would go with the territory.

I use Rose, so people who tend to be offensive suddenly become very defensive when I use her, she has such a fast charge ex charge strike. V_V But it doesn't matter when all the guy is doing is, (L)Tiger upper-cuts and (L)Tiger Knees with a helping of Tiger projectiles oh and when your too close, they grab and toss you to the other end of the screen to rinse and repeat.

I'm not a Rose player so I don't know what advice to give you. I used her a little bit and noticed that the start up time on her Fierce Soul Spark hss be increased significantly. When I do use her I just stick to the jab version, the projectile is slower but the so is the start time.

I'm not adept at using him but you may want to give Abel a try. He has an anti-air grab, Falling Sky, like Rose but it doesn't leave you as open to a counter if you "whiff" on it since he doesn't leave his feet. His Marseilles Roll passes through projectiles and attacks. And if you run into people that like to spam Dragons Punches/Tiger Uppercuts, you can block and punish therm with his Tornado Throw. Granted he doesn't have a projectile attack but it seems that his play style and tactics maybe perfect for the players that are giving you trouble.

Yes. It's very annoying. I've lost a game and lost 115BP all at once and I took it like a man yet others just disconnect. I only play my friends nowadays. It's just more fun and I don't care about losing to them.

"Dr. Tenma, according to you, lives are equal. That's why I live today. But you must have realised it by now...the only thing people are equal in is death"---Johann Liebert (MONSTER)

"WAR is a racket. It always has been.

It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives"---Maj. Gen. Smedley Butler

Rose really needs 2 parts of a bar to be useful, you need at least 2 ex's to get damage in, she has other combos though that don't involve her ultra, but I still need her EX to pull them off, aside from that I'm comfortable using her.

I have tried Abel, he plays well, but isn't very fun for me right now.
