Forums - Gaming - Why sites should WANT TO review MP3 highly...

No no no no.

Reviewers should review the software honestly and without agendas. They should have a measurable, verifiable way to establish the benchmarks, and then supplement that with their observations. So I totally disagree with your point.

Look, as long as there are hardcore gamers, there'll be hardcore demand. And as long as hardcore gamers are profitable, there'll be someone on the other side collecting the money. So there'll be hardcore systems and hardcore games. The gaming companies are not walking away from hardcore just because they are now noticing a profitable venture in casuals. Consider this. Did Coca Cola forgo their Minute Maid brand because they sell more Coke than Orange Juice? Of course not! Um, actually it could be the other way around, I don't really know. But I think you get my point.

Well it seems everyone else is ignoring this post but it's the 100% god honest truth.  So don't worry, you're being heard =)

It's as simple as this everyone. So long as there are people who will buy hardcore games, hardcore games will continue to be made. By Nintendo, or if not, then by other companies.

Help! I'm stuck in a forum signature!

@ckmlb: I don't think shams means for the sake of the gamers, I think he means for their survival.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

There are actually only a few Nintendo licenses that could be deemed hardcore. Those games are Mario, Zelda, and Metroid. They take a measure of skill. The other Nintendo licenses are and have for some time been casual fare. Mariokart, Waverace, Mario Party, Starfox, Smash Brothers, Mario sports titles, Animal Crossing, Pilot Wings, and many others have always been geared towards casual players.

Your post was probably a well thought out one, but i had to stop reading in the first paragraph, as I can't understand how (among other borderline titles) you have put smash bros into casual, and implied it doesn't take a measure of skill -- have you played on the difficult settings of smash bros before? It does take a skill, and so does playing online in Mario Kart, the rest though, I either agree with you or haven't had enough experience with the judge

I agree.  Try taking on Fox or Falco on Level 9 in Smash Bros without a high level of experience in the game and you would be in for a shocker.

they will survive without the fanatics that post on this site

No you fool they were comparing PS2,PS3 and PSP to just the Wii by itself(which was the highest selling console of that month)...but what they didn't do was combine Wii/DS/GBA sales and realise that it beat all other sales combined by almost double...

Why not add me on msn... ish_187@hotmail.co.uk
