Okay, so i got some time with DR:CTYD and i have to say i'm impressed.
There were many people saying this game will be complete crap, me included. There were some people defending it (well not really, just LordTheNightKnight) saying that it could turn out being fun, and i agree with him.
I am not going to compare the game with the original 360 DR, as it's severely different. As a game on it's own it's really good, not AAA by any means but still a solid effort by Capcom that turned out good.
Graphics: Not that good. Could definitely be better. Still, the game looks much better when actually playing it than what you see on the internet. The only thing missing really is the lighting. The enviroments look good, Frank looks good, the zombies not that good but bearable.
Controls: The game controls really well, mostly like RE4. Use the A button to attack with the secondary weapon, waggle for heavy attack, hold B to aim and A to shoot with your gun. Your guns are assigned to the D-Pad and you can switch between them while aiming. The reloading is kinda bad though. For example, you have the handgun assigned to D-Pad Up, so while you're using the handgun you have to aim and press Up again.
Gameplay: This is what shocked me. The game might be mediocre on the technical side, but it was damn fun. The amount of zombies might leave a bit to be desired at times, but most of my time with the game i found the zombies to be more than enough and sometimes i wish they were less. I didn't really count them, but i knew they were a lot when they were all around me attacking me. The AI can be kinda dumb sometimes, but i found that as i level up they get way more aggressive. I am level 5 now, and sometimes they start running at me from a mile away. So the zombies are definitely aggressive enough to be challenging.
Overall, the game is just fun to play. I don't care if it could be done on the PS2 or even the SNES, the only thing i could think about while playing it was that it was really fun.
I'm gonna update my impressions if something else worthy comes up.
