Imagine not having GamePass on your console...

The reason why the PC gamers dislike console RTS games is because we have experienced them in the past. We found out that control pads do not work well for complex RTS games for the obvious reasons many people have explained before. Simply put, RTS games are easier to control with keyboard and mouse.

That being said, Halo Wars has been designed specifically for the console as opposed to the other RTS on consoles that were made for PC first, then ported over. The controls are simple, but they work well. Also, the game seems to be geared towards the Halo fans, meaning more combat and less management of bases and research. Makes it seem like an action RTS.

Halo, while not doing anything particularly new in the FPS genre, brought FPS gaming to the consoles. It seems fitting then that Halo Wars brings RTS gaming to the consoles. Because of that, I think it is a good game. That does not change the fact that if I want to play an RTS, I think I am better off getting one for the PC.

That is my take on the game. If that makes me a PC fanboy, so be it.
