i can honestly say that the controls for killzone 2 are a step back for console fps's.

this isnt an opinion its a fact,any fps on consoles controls better than this game. this is coming from a heavy fps gamer. you guys can scream noob or whatever but its the truth.

you guys are just not opened minded to the fact because you want this to be like sonys halo....sorry but this game wont save the system.

i spent 70$ to get this a few days before launch and i tried to give you guys my honest opinion but i guess thats not the right thing to do instead i should of came on here with fanboy goggles screaming "Killzone is the best fps ever!".

sorry its not. also it doesnt bring anything new to the table. cover system doesnt count because its missing in the most important part of this game ONLINE!

this is what you guys wanted right, me to come off as a complete hater?

I loved the demo. Besides GTA IV has a cover system, but no one ever uses it in multiplayer. Controls are fine . Correct me if i'm wrong but, isn't r3 used for zooming in most games?
I'll have to wait till april for this one and RE 5 :(

The other thing I noticed is that ECC is actually trying to like this game. Even though he thought about returning it as his first impression, he still has the game because people say he has to keep trying until he finally gets used to it. You know what? Gaming is not a chore!!! Sorry, but I have to say it again louder because the fanboy level of this thread is REALLY high.

GAMING IS NOT A CHORE!!!!!

ECC, gaming is not a chore dude. Don't listen to people that tell you to keep trying until you actually like it. That is not the way gaming is supposed to be.

On the flip side you shouldn't quit on a game after an hour! I would have missed out on DQ8, beyond good and evil and many others if i didn't persavier. As For saying that the layout is a step back FACT! well, I'm not going near that!

I think you are taking this too seriously.  It's just a game.

  • I think it is fair to ask the guy why he would pay extra to get a game early that he doesn't seem to know too much about.  He complains about not being able to change the control scheme when it is an obvious feature in the game.
  • Not having a cover system in mp is now a mandatory feature for all FPS's.  That's news to me.  It seems like just yesterday there weren't any FPSs with a cover system at all.

But don't flame me, these are just my opinions about his post.  I don't know much about his posting history, so I will take his word for it.  But we are already seeing the typical 360 fanboys posting their negative "impressions" of the game.

Well fanboyish, one-sided comments are not what I engage in. Like I said, the only thing he said that I thought was a bit irrational was when he said: his opinion that the controls are not that good is a fact. Opinion =/= fact. However, he's entitled to not liking the game, I agree. Nobody should be force-fed into liking any game, including KZ2.

I will credit you on one big thing, at least you tried the game before you came to your conclusion. I respect that, dude :)

 

I'm not going into the (opinion, fact) part. ECC was really reasonable on his posts and kept beeing pushed around. His latest post seemed a bit angrier than the rest and I can clearly see why from the way this thread went.

@joshin69: It really depends on the game. I will keep playing a game to see a bit more even though I'm not in love with it yet. I will not keep playing a game I dislike. I usually try any game for more than one hour. But it doesn't seem to be the case for ECC. We already know he finished the first three levels and played online for at least one hour. That's actually more than I would actually push a game I dislike.

I'm certainly not taking this too seriously because my complaints have nothing to do with this particular game. I like to read about gaming. I like to see discussions about gaming. I really hate fanboys that ruin the whole experience and I will call out the situation.

I couldn't agree more. I must admit for every DQ8, which i spent at least four hours trying to like (which i did in the end) there is a Force unleashed which after three hours there was no way i was wasting anymore of my life on it. Any way i agree that ECC got it a little rough, he has every right to call a turd a turd if that what he thinks it is.
