in 2006, someone got shot over ps3 and someone else impaled a big screen TV with the wiimote.
The games look so good for this year, so many good games for all three systems this year. Next year literally scares my wallet, she is shaking. Middle of the gen is when most of the best games come out. Poor Wanda the Wallet.
(My doctor is more worried about the personification of my wallet, I tell him that if he has anything bad to say about Wanda he better tell it to her face. But with the American healthcare system the way it is, my wallet refuses to talk to him. Go figure.
P.S. I am not really crazy, the previous was an attempt at humor.)
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
| stof said: I'm sick of everything and everyone! Nah, I love you guys. Anyways, there are tons of great games coming in 08, we just haven't focused on those games yet. Every year matters, 2007 just happens to be an incredibly huge year Game wise. But then again, the first full year of a console generation race tends to be that way. |
But stof! last night you told me i was your favorite! This is worse then when you stopped calling me after that one night O.o
/runs into closet
BTW i agree with stof O.o
With regard to Call of Duty 4 having an ultra short single player campaign, I guess it may well have been due to the size limitations of DVD on the XBox 360, one of various limitations multi-platform game designers will have to take into consideration-Mike B
Proud supporter of all 3 console companys
Proud owner of 360wii and DS/psp
Game trailers-Halo 3 only dissapointed the people who wanted to be dissapointed.
Bet with Harvey Birdman that Lost Odyssey will sell more then Blue dragon did.I think a lot of announcements for 2008 will be made later this year or early 2008.
I would say it's interesting to see that how many 2008 announcements for PS3 we will see, since there are so many already and i would think that developers rather make games for Wii and 360, just because of bad sales of PS3.
360 will get ports from propably every not-so-big game, which was originally planned for PS3 only.
Sony propably has rushed the announcements for PS3, to show that there are games coming and 2008 games have been started before anybody knew how the sales will turn out. Nintendo is in much better situation than Sony or Micro$oft, so it's not very clever to show all the cards at once. We will propably see bigger game announcements for Wii evetime Nintendo wants to give a little boost to Wii sales or raise the stock price.
But indeed, 2009 is more interesting, since it gives indication about what kind of 3rd party support eventually each console will see.
And many 2008 game will be delayed/cancelled/ported on each platform, so it's a little early to start looking at 2008 releases from any other point of view, than that there are plenty of games coming for each platform.
Ei Kiinasti.
Eikä Japanisti.
Vaan pannaan jalalla koreasti.
Nintendo games sell only on Nintendo system.
3 points :
- personnaly, since there are some games I want to play in 2008 (MGS4/GT5/LBP/killzone2/SH5?), I dont see WHY I would stop to look at the games coming in 2008 !!
I more interested on this games than on the games coming right now.
- It is clear the situation is quite different with the Xbox360 or the Wii.
They already have big IP coming like MP3/Mario Galaxy/WiiFit or Bioshock/Halo3/MassEffect?. And we dont know a lot about what is coming the next-year.
- from reviewer the PS3 games coming this year seems quite good :
Heavenly sword 8 lair 7.5 warhawk 8.5 (it is an average). These games will help the PS3 a lot for sure BUT these games are not enought big compared to big IP coming on Wii/Xbox360 and when u think that a PS3 is still 500-600$, you realize that Sony need more than good games, they need VERY GOOD games.
It is why Sony is trying to make people understand than the better is coming next year, trying to say to people : "dont buy Xbox360/Wii right now, cause you will not be able to play the must-have, wer are prepared for you in 2008, and you will regret it"
it is why Sony impressed during the E3 2007 and it is why they didnt impresss during the GC: in the first one, they make some big NEWS annoucement / show some big NEWS trailer :
GT5pro/killzone2/MGS4/infamous
during the GC, they didnt show NEWS big annoucement/trailer ... (except the MGS4 boss trailer maybe)
Time to Work !
libellule makes good points but tell me everyone....
Is anybody really still on the fence right now anyway?
360's line up is so much better that even though the PS3 line up is good is it going to get more than just Sony/MGS/FF(me included) fans this year or next?
I think no (if not now, by the end of the year) the only things holding back anybody from buying the system of their choice is price/available funds and supply.
Wii is selling with out many hardcore games up til now, is the Wii's success really unrelated to the 360 and PS3, or is it more tied to their fates than we think?
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
I m sure with the console alignated at 300$, sales will be different
BUT
consoles will be different too, so we cannot say ...
seriously, for the price this Xmas, Microsoft is doing well with the Xbo360 near the mass market price.
But the main problem is their brandname.
Even with very good games coming on the Xbox360, Microsoft still doesnt have sufficient credibility/penetration in the market except in USA/UK.
There are a lot of casual/core gamers (rich or not) that doesnt follow the "console gaming news" and that still consider the 2 consoles maker are Nintendo and Sony.
I think too many people are saving their money to purchase a PS3 later OR are buying a Wii now.
Time to Work !
...or waiting for another PS3 price drop.
The thing that I really can't understand still, is why MS who is the most reliant and most advanced in the online/networking department didn't include a HDD with all consoles. They would be able to really push downloadable games/movies/music/upgrades to the main stream if they had. Imagine saying it plays games for you and the teens and HD Disney movies for the Kids, in a corny ad (that the mainstream seems to love so much) with out having to add "HDD required to that". Too bad, because I really want all three consoles to do well, because it would be good for gamers and leave the market open to more console makers or a semi-unified platform next-gen.
(Off topic: God, I need a game for my PS3. Warhawk, HS, or Lair as soon as I beat MP3.)
I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.
PS3 has lots for 2008 because of delayed 2007 games. The Wii and 360 will have new 2008 games for 2008!
