I don't get it. The aiming/movement restrictions in Resident Evil makes the game scarier? To be honest, it simply annoys the heck out of me, and makes me waste green herbs because the controls are so slow. Let me explain:
The thing is, Resident Evil is back to dual analog sticks. On the Wii, in Resident Evil 4, it was simple to shoot where you wanted to shoot, and you could defeat your enemy before he hits you, even when he changed direction at the last second (which happened quite a few times). Now, you were talking about realism just now, shouldn't you be able to react at the right moment when the enemy does something strange at the last second? Dual analog sticks restrict your quick time movement, which defeats the purpose of playing a game with skills. Even changing the aiming sensitivity barely does anything.
So you're saying that since you have to get hit, not because you suck, but because the controls are restricted, it should be normal and make the game more scary/realistic? That's just plain cheap.
Also, don't forget, games =/= real life. Why would someone try to recreate real life? The developers should use their imagination to create better gameplay mechanisms, not rely on real life physic laws and stuff.
Random game thought :
Why is Bionic Commando Rearmed 2 getting so much hate? We finally get a real game and they're not even satisfied... I'm starting to hate the gaming community so f****** much...

Actually your completely wrong. You do not stop to aim, you walk while in your firing stance IRL. I have posted this a several times but here it is again:

If you actually watch it you will see he is in stance pretty much all the time, except when actually running and reloading. This is a competition shoot so it is not just some random guy but Chris should be at least this good. This is what should be reflected, will it ever -- probably not.
