what did the reviewers give it in Japan?
Well as most people know I have the Japanese version and I really love it. I don't care about cutesy in a game, the game is not as easy as it may appear like, especially not as balance in the game is essential.
I do hope the game will have some legs in the US and the EU. Funny enough sales gone up a tiny bit in Japan from 700 to 1100, last week.
Famitsu scores for the game were 8, 8, 8 and 7, so good, almost great.

Bet With routsounmanman: By the end of Q1 2008 Capcom WONT have announced a RE5 Wii Edition OR a new RE (classic gameplay) for the Wii (WON)
It's a platform adventure game. You're moving a way through different kind of aera's, with each existing out of several acts. At the end of the final act you'll meet a boss, there are also several mini bosses around the area's.
You'll move Dewy around by tilting the area. By doing this you hold the remote horizontal and tilt the remote. Dewy can also jump, all you need to do is press button "2" to do so. Holding the button longer and Dewy jumps higher. As dewy is a waterdrop and therefore a type of weather, he has 2 "weather" skills in the game. He can change into a thundercloud and into a sort of icecube. While Dewy changes, the area around him changes as well. Water which freezes, or ice that's starting to melt, water rising up or down, plants which are starting to grow, or shrinking, etc. So therefore this creates puzzle elements in the game. Fun part about using these 2 skills, Dewy can create special attacks to surprise and defeating the enemies all around the game. As the area's are all kind of different, from an ice world to a lava world, the weather skills do different things. As you all know.. when it's snowing and freezing... you can't have thunder.... well you have to see it for yourself ;)
With which PS2 or Gamecube you can compare it to? *Thinks hard*, none, a PSP game perhaps, Loco Roco, as you'll need to press the shoulder buttons to tilt the area as well to make the character move. Only Dewy's Adventure is in 3D.

I'm not sure about this game, i'd get it and play it but at the same time after Konami mad that comment about how the Wii isn't suitable for Silent Hill franchise i'd love it every cutesy effort they made sold dissapointing numbers.
Would prove a point I think if RE4 port beat their new efforts on sales in the long run for the Wii.
Those people that think they're perfect give a bad reputation to us who are...
"With the DS, it's fair to say that Nintendo stepped out of the technical race and went for a feature differentiation with the touch screen, but I fear that it won't have a lasting impact beyond that of a gimmick - so the long-lasting appeal of the platform is at peril as a direct result of that." - Phil Harrison, Sony
Terribly marketed. After seeing the game trailers and game videos I know this a title that a couple of folks in my household are going to want to play so I'll buy it. I only know about the game, though, because of my significant amount of time online.
There is no way you can miss Madden, Halo, MP3, etc. since they are plastered everywhere on every game aisle in every store that sells it... Even Target has preorders for Halo...
@kn
Of course I wasn't expecting this to be a 1st tier title in terms of sales, but it would be nice if it had a moderate worldwide success (150-200k), enough so that konami wouldn't consider it a complete failure, and let the team continue to make interesting games...
