Well, I propose we agree to disagree.

The thing is, the music it self is generally too upbeat to be considered doom IMO. The lyrics are doomish. Yes lets agree that I am right :](joking of course)


Maiden is more thrash/power IMO. Priest is of course heavy metal :]

I've loved heavy metal since the mid 80's.

Favorite genres: mostly old school heavy metal, death and symphonic black metal.

Iron Maiden until the Seventh Son album (1988) is probably my favorite band.

Other great bands are Amorphis, Emperor, Dissection, Anthrax, Trouble, Stryper, Black Sabbath (the 80's albums), Queensryche, Therion, Dio, Children of Bodom, old Metallica, old Ozzy, Kiss and a bunch of 80's hard rock/metal bands.

I can't stand modern metal though. Nu-metal, rap metal and metalcore is disgusting lol.
