Many were and are wowed by the graphics of GeOW 2. It isn't even worth debate whether GeOW 2 is one of the best looking games on the 360. The question is will GeOW 2 graphics be on-par with that of GOW III once it is released? I don't think I can decide for now, since GOW III isn't going to be released for another year most likely. What do you think?

The developers pushed the PS2 beyond what anyone thought it can do with GoW1 and 2 and there pretty well doing that with the PS3 for GoWIII. Also I think the new GoWIII trailer can speak for itself ;)
From what we've seen, no. By the end of development, probably.
GOTY Contestants this year: Dead Space 2, Dark Souls, Tales of Graces f. Everything else can suck it.

Whilst I think the trailers for GoOW 3 are mighty impressive, the very idea that it could beat the brilliance of GoWII's brilliant Xenon-produced graphics is laughable.

not these games again. Comparisons between these are quite ridiculous as the genres are miles apart. just play whatever game on whatever console you want. A few pixels on the left won't change any normal person's mind.

No, it won't. God of War III is not like God of War 2. They are going for a lot more enemies on the screen at the same tine. More enemies on the screen = less detail in every enemy. The first 2 god of war games were really ahead of their time. God of War III at 720P is not impressive. It looks nice, but it is not impressive. Even if it's not finished yet, the difference between a beta and final version is not that big.

Cell>Xenon... i think GOW III will look alot better by the end of its development. and alot better then GeOW.
