I already said that if you changed the cut-off the winner changes.  You're not paying attention.

The point is that the PS3 arguably had the best lineup last year, so that makes it even more absurd of an attack to say that the PS3 will inevitably have an inferior lineup of games...which, again, is exactly what you said.

Windbane you already proved my point when you successfully pointed out that line-up quality is inherently subjective.  Of course it is inevitable some people will never believe the PS3 has the strongest line-up of games.

Well, on page 2 there is "I'm a Killzone 2 fan but I gotta admit , it was a waste of good graphics." which is an attack based on not liking the art direction which could be made about every game.

On page one is another attack on Sixaxis, and nearly every post Twestern makes about the PS3 is complaining about some other little random thing he doesn't like about it.

Perhaps you are right, though, and I'm not seeing the entire forest in the trees.  There have been many anti-KZ2 threads in the last week or 2, though.  Perhaps my excitement for that game is making me annoyed than I should be.  I just hate that people will try to tear down a game based on the smallest of details that don't even matter.

Right, thanks for that lovely thread.  I'm so glad that we now know that KZ2 has so many technical problems it might be unplayable.  I'm so glad we know that all the reviews and personal experiences playing the game were wrong.

Really, I was in that thread and I seem to remember alot of the attacks coming from disappointed 360 fans and not PS3 fans. As far as I looked it sure was a more civil thread then some others. differing opinions and attacks are 2 different things. "attacks" are differing opinions when they have merit. If I say R2 wasn't all that, I probably won't get called out for it. Why? I have the game. When Zenfoldorvgi says R2 sucks, it's an "attack". Why? He never played the game in his life so it's seen as a cheap shot at the ps3 which he's famous for.

Secondly, you have to question the motive of someone who doesn't possess a ps3 or highly favors his 360 to the point of thinking his ps3 is just garbage (think Neoraf) but cites his "differing opinion" on say killzone 2. All isn't black and white.

Yes, subjective.  Therefore, you can not say, for a fact, that it is inevitably worse.  Thank you for agreeing.  Next time, please phrase it better.

Well doesn't that say something? Maybe they can take bad news and criticism better. If you look at the 20fps, civil discussion died after 1 page.

I don't think it says too much as the 20 fps thread is littered with 360 fans screaming how unacceptable it is for a shooter to go down to 20 fps blah, blah blah. Don't think it was unacceptable with Gears 2 though. Personally, Gears 2 is one of my favorite games this gen and Killzone 2 is looking to be right up there with it.

And yes, I know you made both of those threads. ;)

Honestly, I've done my best to stay away from that thread after a certain point so I don't know who is going at it right now, although I did peek at it long enough to see Kyliedog claim the game has weighted controls to hide the bad frame rate which made me lol.

too true. That does happen a lot, people complaining about games they don't own.

I know he is. I didn't call him a fanboy. I was just referring to how funny his argument was. It's funny to me how he does seem to hate all things ps3. He trolls, K2 and MGS4 threads like nobodys buisness. But hey, at least he's played them.

Well, the art direction thing sounds more like a difference of opinion than an attack to me considering the OP is a known PS3 fan, but that's not my point. 

If someone appears to you to be a hater then just ignore them, I've found that it's much easier, and less stressful than getting worked up over it.  Just enjoy KZ2 when it comes out and don't let others ruin your experience. 

Even though I don't own a PS3 myself, my roommate does and has this on pre-order so I'll be playing it within a week.  I have a plethora of my own shooters I could play, but it's clear that some pretty serious time and effort went into this game and I want to see what the hype is all about.
