People please wait for PS3 price cut before buying a new PS3. If you bought a PS3 and it was announced a $100 price cut was going to take effect you would bitterly regret your console purchase. PS3 has been fixed at the same price of $400 US for a very, very long time. Due to foreign exchange rates PS3 is even more expensive in other countries. 18 months without a PS3 price cut.
If you buy a PS3 now, Sony would be happy and PS3 fans would be happy that one extra console counts towards the PS3 hardware total. But would you be happy departing with $400 during hard economic times?
If you need a PS3 well look at buying a second hand one at around $200.
