nvm
It's happened. Bitmap Frogs, quit with your fanboyism and assumptions. You're coming across much more trollish than anything else in this thread.
Usually, the fix for a RROD isn't even anything involving the actual motherboard or chipset. Nothing needs to be altered or replaced; you just make it channel away heat differently.
My brother's console went RROD on him last year, so he bought a new one and gave me the old one. I plugged the old one in and it powered up right away, giving us no problems at all. I opened it up and did some casemodding just to be certain it wouldn't RROD again (warranty was already voided), and I've not had any problems with it since.

Don't you have any issue with someone using flamebait to get more people to read his question and thus increasing the likelyhood of an answer?

I completely agree this is a 100% bullshit article but it's a news article nonetheless so I don't think I'll lock it (yet). If you feel he's wrong or some horribly biased fanboy (which he is), then point out why the author is an idiot. |
Dude, the article may be BS, and Coca-cola shouldn't have posted it, buy he is by no means a "horribly biased fanboy". He's more on the 360 side of the fence than anything else, so even if a case could be made for him being "biased" (and it would be hard to make one), it certainly wouldn't be a bias against the 360.
It would be like calling me an anti-ps3 troll (ME lol) just for posting an anti-ps3 article once.

thanks for recognizing the fact that I'm pro Xbox 360.
You can get RROD from power supply issues (according to MS) and replugging in the brick can fix this. You can also get a pre-RROD if so you're system will probably be dead by the end of the week.
You can get a RROD because your cables aren't plugged in correctly. The Red Rings that pop up are a code for many different problems
XDDDDD! what about a yellow ps3, to "match" with the yellow light?? :P

I replugged everything and so far so good.
Hopefully it wont die.
