Forums - Sony - Yakuza 3 Bundle for Taiwan

As far as I can tell this is exclusive to Taiwan, no mention of it on any of the other Asian PS3 sites. It's just the Ceramic White PS3 too, not the Japanese version with Dragons etched in.

Pretty bad Google Translation:

Hmmm, cool. I'm a bit more interested about the content inside that bonus booklet...! :P

I chuckled when I read "Sony Computer Entertainment of Taiwan", I had no idea they had a branch there. Just how many different branches are there? I thought it was just SCEE, SCEA, and SCEJ like Nintendo has. Now I'm wondering how many other countries they have secret bases set up in.

What? It is the console war after all...

SCEI have four divisions; SCE America, SCE Europe, SCE Japan, and SCE Asia.

SCE Taiwan comes under SCE Asia. Taiwan is probably SCE Asia's largest market, similar in size to Korea (there is also an SCE Korea). SCE Asia are based in Hong Kong, where there is also an SCE Hong Kong.

SCE America have SCE Canada, and the newly formed SCE Latin America under them.

SCE Europe have separate branches for most PAL countries where they directly distribute, such as SCEUK and SCENZ, however some countries such as Scandinavian ones and South Africa are covered by third party distrbutors, so there is no SCE Sweden for example.

SCE Japan unsurprisingly only cover Japan and have no others under them.

thats cool good to the ps3 expanding

they get a japanese magazine with it? can the normal taiwan even read it? (then again, they mostlikely only get the japanese version of the game, so people who want the game need to know jpn anyway I guess)

OMG the cover is so kitsh!

Yeah, it's just the Japanese version of the game, so Japanese language magazine isn't a problem. Most Japanese PS3 games get a simultaneous unlocalised release in Asia so this is nothing unusual.
